Interview with Geraldine Cason

I interviewed Geraldine about who she is and what motivated her to become a teacher. When talking with Geraldine I had orginally had A different route that I wanted to take, however when I noticed her passion for teaching I had to steer the focus on that because I felt like my audience would really be able to learn and understand her better. I asked who she was and she told me she was a teacher. I believe that is incredible that she is so passionate about it that it became her identity. If you are in a dark place right now and you feel low on energy like you have no motivation to anything and you are looking for something to inspire you I would highly recommend listening to this audio because this was truly inspiring to interview her. She mentioned how her daughter struggled with learning disabilities and she watched how the teachers and people around her treated her and she wanted other kids to have a different outcome. I thought that was so beautiful. She took a terrible situation that she had gone through and she turned it into a beautiful lesson. She is the definition of the change you want to see in the world. She saw something she did not like and she went out there to change the ways those kids are viewed and show them continuously that they have someone on their side. She was such a lovely person to interview you could tell how much she cares about what she does. You can tell this is something that she does purely for the passion and wanting to help others. It is rare finding people who genuinely love what they are doing so I was lucky enough to be able to interview someone with a true passion.
